Stacey English has held a variety of roles in the financial services industry since 2003. Stacey began their career at Aviva as a Senior Manager in Group Risk Management. In 2005, they moved to Lloyd's as a Risk Executive in Risk Management. In 2007, they were appointed as Head of Governance, Reporting & Intelligence at Barclays. In 2009, they took on a part-time Risk Consultant role at Barbican Insurance Group while also working at Complinet as Head of Regulatory Affairs. In 2018, they became a Published Author at Bloomsbury Professional for their book "Conduct and Accountability in Financial Services: A Practical Guide". In 2020, they took on the role of Honorary Fellow at Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance, Cambridge Judge Business School and Director of Practice Regulation (interim) at ACCA. Stacey currently holds the role of Director of Regulatory Intelligence at Theta Lake.
Stacey English has an extensive education history. Stacey obtained a First Class BA (hons) Business Administration from De Montfort University from 1994 to 1997. Stacey then went on to study at The Chartered Insurance Institute from 1997 to 1999. In 2001 to 2003, Stacey became a Qualified Accountant & Fellow with the highest results worldwide from ACCA. Stacey then obtained a First Class BSc (hons) Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University in 2003 to 2004. In 2006 to 2007, they obtained a Lloyds & London Market degree from The Chartered Insurance Institute. In 2019, Stacey attended Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford to study Artificial Intelligence. Stacey also holds certifications from the Chartered Insurance Institute, ACCA, The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI), and the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance, Cambridge Judge Business School.
