Kasia Lech

Kasia Lech has a diverse work experience in the field of performing arts and academia. Kasia is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Amsterdam, a position they began in September 2022. Prior to that, Kasia served as the Executive Director and Director of Research and Global Initiatives at TheTheatreTimes.com, a global theatre portal, starting from August 2018.

Kasia also has experience with Polish Theatre Ireland, where they worked as the Founder, Artistic Liaison, and Actor since September 2008. Kasia played various roles within the company and aimed to create a new voice on the Irish cultural scene. Additionally, they worked at Canterbury Christ Church University as a Senior Lecturer in Performing Arts from August 2015 to August 2022 and as a Lecturer in Performing Arts from September 2013 to July 2015.

Furthermore, Kasia worked at University College Dublin as a Lecturer from September 2011 to August 2013 and as a Tutor, School of English, Drama & Film from September 2009 to August 2013. During their time at University College Dublin, they also pursued research as a Doctoral Scholar funded by the Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Sciences.

Kasia Lech obtained a PhD in Drama, Performance, and Poetry from University College Dublin from 2008 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed an MA in Acting (Puppetry) at Akademia Sztuk Teatralnych w Krakowie from 2000 to 2004. Earlier on, they spent a year at Uniwersytet Szczeciński studying Law in 1999-2000.
