Denis Jones

Denis Jones is a highly experienced Project Director with a strong background in managing large-scale projects within the mining, infrastructure, and renewable energy sectors. Currently serving as Project Director at Thiess since November 2015, Denis has successfully led projects valued over $500 million, notably negotiating contracts and mobilizing teams internationally. Prior experience includes roles as Bid Director and Project Director for self-employment, managing projects exceeding $1 billion, demonstrating expertise in budget management, client relations, and risk evaluation. Denis has also held senior project management positions at GE Renewable Energy, GHD, Leighton Asia, and ACCIONA, contributing to significant infrastructure projects such as the Legacy Way Tunnel and various wind and hydro power initiatives. Educational qualifications include an MBA and a Bachelor's degree in Project Management from the University of Newcastle, along with a Diploma in Contract Management.
