Gus Jorquera

Gus Jorquera is an experienced mining professional currently serving as the Thiess Site Senior Executive/Project Director for the Llanos & Esperanza and Project Manager for the Olive Downs Complex, roles held since May 2022. Prior to this, Gus Jorquera worked at Thiess from June 2012 to August 2021 in various leadership positions including Project Director for Curragh North and Operations Manager for multiple Queensland sites. Gus Jorquera also held significant roles as Project Director and Operations Manager across several mining projects in New South Wales and beyond. Earlier in their career, Gus Jorquera was with Downer EDi Mining from May 2005 to May 2012 as Project Director and Statutory Mine Manager for the Boggabri Open Cut Coal Mine. Gus Jorquera holds a degree in Mining Engineering from UNSW.
