Oscar Pedroso has held a variety of roles in their career. From 2015 to present, they have been the Founder and CEO of Thimble.io, an organization that teaches kids engineering and programming through a subscription kit service and an online learning portal. From 2012 to 2015, they were the Founder of GradFly. From 2007 to 2012, they were the Grant Program Coordinator and Outreach Coordinator at Rochester General Hospital. In their role as Grant Program Coordinator, they led a series of winning grant-writing proposals to channel funding to various nonprofit organizations in need of medical resources. Oscar also co-authored a Latin American cookbook published via community health grants and drafted grant proposals for diabetes-related programming at the hospital in coordination with outside organizations. In their role as Outreach Coordinator, they managed healthcare information distribution to low-income neighborhoods and coordinated a Nutrition Forum providing diabetes education lectures specific to Hispanic and African Americans. Oscar also reached 2,225 minorities in the metropolitan area with diabetes-related information in 2006-2007 campaign.
Oscar Pedroso attended Mamaroneck High School before obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Math and Economics from the University of Rochester in 2004.
