Amy Shepherd

Amy Shepherd has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Amy started their career as a Paralegal at Hickman and Rose in May 2011 and went on to work as a Prison Law Advocate at Swain & Co Solicitors from January 2012 to August 2013. Amy then worked as a Public Law Advocate at Criminal Defence Solicitors from September 2013 to April 2014.

In 2014, Amy became a Litigation Officer at the Parole Board for England and Wales for a brief period from May to December. Amy then interned as a Summer Legal Intern at the International Justice Mission from June to August 2015.

Moving forward, Amy worked as a Census Officer at the Office for National Statistics in April-May 2017. Amy then transitioned to the role of EU Advocacy Manager at CSW from September 2017 to September 2018.

Amy's career in the legal field continued as they joined the Open Rights Group as a Legal & Policy Officer from January to December 2019. In 2020, they took on the role of Global Impact Director at Think-Film Impact Production from January to September. Subsequently, they were promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer in October 2020 and continues to work in that role.

In addition to their legal work, Amy is involved in philanthropy and governance. Amy serves as a Board Member at the Foundation for Future London starting from December 2022.

Amy Shepherd received their Master of Laws (LLM) in Public International Law (Human Rights) from Utrecht University in 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bar Vocational Course at BPP Law School in 2010. In 2009, they obtained their MA (Cantab) in Law from the University of Cambridge.
