Tony Scott

Senior Business Analyst at Think Systems

Tony Scott has a long and varied work experience. Tony started their career in 2003 as a Project Manager, Solution Architect, and Applications Consultant for Logan Consulting and BAISYS, INC., two firms that were service partners of ERP provider qad. At these firms, they analyzed clients' business processes and usage of ERP and other systems, in order to identify root causes of issues making operations less productive and/or unprofitable. Tony then identified gaps between current state and desired and required future state processes and systems, and developed and executed plans for implementation of improved future state business processes and better practices in using their ERP application.

In 2005, Tony moved to Saft, a multi-national engineer-to-order manufacturer of batteries for space and defense industries, where they worked as an IT Manager and ERP Project Manager. At Saft, they designed and implemented time and attendance systems integrated with accounting systems for capturing costs accurately, as well as implemented agreed on processes and procedures to ensure the business gained benefits from its enterprise information systems.

In 2007, Tony became the Director of Business Process Management and Director of Business Analysis for Laureate Online Education, a $1B for profit education company with online institutions of higher learning and trade schools all over the world. At Laureate, they performed business process analysis that made it easier to identify and define business requirements for integrating acquired educational institutions into Laureate’s common platform for student operations, accounting, and finance. Tony also developed and implemented across the organization, a methodology for identifying and understanding business processes, and created and managed a team of business analysts that served as the centralized business analysis function used on projects across the entire enterprise.

In 2014, Tony moved to Regent Education as a Business Solutions Architect.

In 2015, Tony joined Sogeti USA as a Senior Consultant. As proxy Product Owner for T. Rowe Price, they developed a client portal for administrators of 401(k) plans, defining the Product Vision, refining business, non-functional and functional requirements, then creating technical spikes and user stories consumed in multiple Sprints of development to deliver case and project management functionality via Service Now. Tony also performed business process analysis to identify and quantify unrealized cash collections in Order-to-Cash processes for a $1B multi-national training company, to develop a business case for projects realizing value of at least 3X the cost of those projects.

In 2018, Tony moved to Catalyte as a Principal Business Analyst. At Catalyte, a provider of software development services, they worked with a client’s Product Manager to develop a Product Roadmap of features and functionality for scaled up algorithms determining optimal pricing at store and regional levels. Tony also defined epics and backlog of user stories allowing multiple scrum teams to deliver features and functionality per that Product Roadmap. Additionally, they decomposed and refined vague and ambiguous requirements provided by a healthcare management software company, to develop backlogs of spikes, user stories and tasks that multiple teams could consume easily and develop.

Tony is currently employed at Think as a Senior Business Analyst, a role they have held since 2022.
