Sean McIntyre has extensive experience in the software industry. Sean began their career in 2010 as an Independent Software Architect and Systems Analyst for their own business. In 2012, they were contracted by NOVX Systems Inc. to implement and refine a unique and dynamic visualization on the Android 4.0 platform. Sean also ported Joel Koroniak's Taskable to Android, including the addition of Android-specific functionality. In 2014, they became the Director, Principal Software Architect at Uncharted Software, where they supported software teams across the organization with architecture and technical strategy, productionisation of research IP, and the identification, ownership, and development of core technology shared between software projects. Sean was also the Principal Software Architect on Influent, a big-data financial investigation (AML) solution targeted at banks and governments. Additionally, they were the Designer/Developer/Purveyor of Strange Technology at Atendy and a Usability and Design Consultant for their own business. In 2020, they created Sif Framework, a Go framework for fast, predictable, general-purpose distributed computing in the map/reduce paradigm. Currently, they are the Vice President of Engineering at ThinkData Works.
Sean McIntyre attended the University of Toronto from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science and Mathematics.
