Ben Di Maggio

Vice President of Product Development at ThinkShout

Ben Di Maggio has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries.

Starting in 1995, Ben worked as a Website Administrator at the Kellogg School of Management, where they helped build and maintain a large static website and developed CGI applications in Perl. Ben also trained staff members on updating specific areas of the site.

In 1999, they joined Concrete Media as a Senior Interface Engineer and eventually became the manager of the web development team. In this role, they built front ends of client websites using HTML, Javascript, and DHTML. Ben also collaborated directly with clients to gather requirements and shape expectations.

From 2001 to 2002, Ben worked as an English Teacher at Aeon, where they taught conversational English to adults and learned Japanese.

In 2002, they became an Assistant English Teacher at Kurosu Junior High School and held this position until 2004.

Starting from 2005, Ben began working as a self-employed Web Development Consultant. Ben created HTML/CSS templates for existing CMSes and homegrown PHP CMSes.

During the same period, they also worked as a Technical Consultant at United for a Fair Economy, where they provided technical expertise and consulting services.

From 2007 to 2017, Ben worked at Digital Loom as a Technical Director. Ben collected client requirements, created site architecture plans, built custom modules and themes for Drupal, and served as the "last line of defense" for challenging problems.

In 2018, Ben joined ThinkShout as a Technical Architect, responsible for overseeing the development team and aligning development/engineering service offerings with market needs.

In 2021, they were promoted to the role of Director of Software Development at ThinkShout, where they managed software development projects and teams.

Finally, Ben currently holds the position of Vice President of Product Development at ThinkShout, where they direct the development team, manages internal department budgets, and establishes a vision for development/engineering service offerings.

Ben Di Maggio attended Northwestern University from 1992 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature. Additionally, in 1997 and 1998, they briefly studied at UCL, focusing on English Language and Literature, General.
