Carly Straus Chan

Carly Straus Chan is an experienced program director at Democracy Funders Network since August 2021 and has held various roles at Third Plateau since November 2018, advancing from Associate to Director. Carly's previous experience includes a grants and administrative assistant position at Metta Fund, where responsibilities included grants management and program assistance. Additional positions include Database Administrative Assistant at Neighborhood Funders Group, Summer Fellow at New Sector Alliance, CDFI Program Intern at Beneficial State Foundation, and intern roles at Alliance for Justice, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), and Bend the Arc. Carly holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies with a focus on Human Rights from the University of California, Berkeley, and has participated in training focused on nonprofit finance and project management.
