Ellen Kimball

Ellen Kimball serves as the Director at Third Plateau Social Impact Strategies since July 2021, following a consultancy role with NewSchools Venture Fund where significant contributions included conducting a comprehensive audit of new school launch applicants and evaluating responses to COVID-19 in K-12 education, resulting in substantial investments. Previous experience includes a summer associate position at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where Ellen analyzed research on district and charter collaboration, and a role as Director of Student Success at Year Up, overseeing student programs and staff training. Ellen's educational background includes an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in History and German from Bowdoin College.
