Jason Gehrke

Jason Gehrke is an experienced biotechnology professional currently serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Third Rock Ventures since February 2024. Prior to this role, Jason held multiple leadership positions at Beam Therapeutics from January 2021 to February 2024, including Vice President of Immunology, Genetic Disease, and New Opportunities, as well as Senior Director and Head of Immunology. Jason's tenure at Beam Therapeutics began in May 2018 as Senior Scientist and Head of New Opportunities, where responsibilities included leading discovery biology efforts in advanced immune cell engineering for oncology and autoimmune diseases. Jason holds a BS in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from UCLA and a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard University.
