Lisa Purcell

Lisa Purcell, PhD is currently serving as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Third Rock Ventures since May 2024. Prior to this role, Lisa held several key positions at Vir Biotechnology, Inc. from December 2020 to May 2024, including Senior Vice President of Research and Translational Medicine and Vice President of Microbiology and Virology, as well as serving as the St. Louis Site Head. Lisa's extensive experience in clinical sciences and research was further developed at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from July 2008 to December 2020, where Lisa worked as a Senior Scientist and in various capacities within the Respiratory and Inflammation departments, beginning as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Lisa's academic credentials include a PhD in Parasitology from McGill University and both a Master of Science in Ecotoxicology and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biology from the University of Prince Edward Island.
