Rajeev Venkayya, MD, currently serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Third Rock Ventures and as a Venture Partner at both F-Prime Capital and Omega Funds. Previously, Rajeev held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Aerium Therapeutics, focusing on the development of monoclonal antibodies and antivirals for SARS-CoV-2 and other health threats. Rajeev's extensive experience includes a tenure as President of Takeda Pharmaceuticals' Global Vaccine Business Unit, leading R&D, manufacturing, and commercialization of advanced vaccine candidates. Prior to this, Rajeev worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as Director of Vaccine Delivery, managing key global health initiatives, and served in various roles at The White House, including Special Assistant to the President for Biodefense. Rajeev also has academic experience as an Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco. Educational qualifications include an MD from Northeast Ohio Medical University and fellowships and residency training in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine from the University of Michigan and the University of California, San Francisco.
