Cheryl Schaffer is the Director at TSNE MissionWorks, a previous Associate Director at the Center for Corporate Citizenship at Boston College, and has also served as a primary liaison with central university administration. Cheryl has been in their current position since June of 2002.
At the Center for Corporate Citizenship, Cheryl led a year-long strategic planning process for staff and corporate board to redefine the Center’s mission and create a focus on social justice. Additionally, they managed a $4.5M budget and 27 staff, developing financial and management reporting systems along the way. Cheryl also redesigned staffing functions and implemented performance management system, generating annual cost savings and more effective and efficient hiring practices. Thanks to their efforts, the Institute for Responsible Investing was able to successfully secure various grants.
In their current role as Director, Cheryl continues to use their skills in budgeting and management to help TSNE MissionWorks towards its goals. Under their leadership, the organization has made great strides in fulfilling its mission to create positive social change.
Cheryl Schaffer obtained their degree in Labor Relations/Women's Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Cheryl then went on to study at Hampshire College.
