Clement James

Clement James is the current Director at TSNE MissionWorks. Prior to this, they served as the SVP Finance and Administration / CFO for Nurtury from October 2000 to August 2017. Clement was a member of senior staff and executive management team and reported directly to the President and CEO. Clement oversaw all Finance and Administration functions in nearly $20 million non-profit organization which operates nine early care and education centers in Boston, Cambridge and Chelsea.

During their time at Nurtury, Clement led a team of finance professionals including the Controller, Director of IT and Director of Facilities. Clement also oversaw purchase of services and contracting, utilizing technical knowledge of the Uniform Guidance (UG) and other government procurement guidelines. Additionally, they managed budgeting, financial reporting & analysis, cash management, banking relations, capital planning, audits and external reporting. Clement presented the company’s financials to the Finance Committee and the Board of Directors on a quarterly/annual basis. Clement also played a leadership role in structuring a complex financial deal, utilizing New Market Tax Credits, for the construction of a $17 million state-of-the-art new 23,000 SF early education center, The Learning Lab, in Jamaica Plain.

Clement James has a MS in Accounting and Business/Management from UMass Boston. Clement is also a Certified Public Accountant from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
