Kimmo Valtonen

Kimmo Valtonen has a long and varied work experience. Kimmo began their career in 1998 as a co-founder and researcher for Bayes Information Technology. In 2000, they co-founded Ekahau, where they worked as a researcher and implementer. In 2007, Kimmo became the CTO of M-Brain Finland, where they were responsible for transforming a small 30+ employee service company. From 2011 to 2020, they worked at M-Brain Group, where they held various roles such as Advisor, CTO of a mature Augmented Intelligence company, Acting CEO, and CTO during a rapid buy and build stage. In 2020, Kimmo became the Chief Technology Officer at GetJenny, where they were responsible for change management in preparing the company for acquisition. In 2021, Kimmo joined Thirdpresence as CTO and NinaData as General Manager and CTO, where they have overall responsibility for business and hands-on operative management of the team.

Kimmo Valtonen has earned an M.Sc. in computer science and computational linguistics from the University of Helsinki.
