Matthew Cimaglia has a diverse work experience in the digital and creative industry. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Freelance Editor for NBC News, where they edited and produced shows like Dateline, The Today Show, and Nightly News. During their time there, they received a News Emmy nomination. In 2011, they founded BrandCaddy.com, an online image tool and identity guide for corporate brands. From 2016 to 2017, they founded MarketStream.live, a video-streaming platform for institutional retail investors. In 2018, they co-founded Third Summit, a company that invests in mid-sized digital companies, with a focus on the creator economy. Third Summit's flagship product was Alteon. Continuing their entrepreneurial pursuits, in 2019, they founded Alteon.io, a platform that provides a single hub for company files, accessible to staff, contractors, and clients while maintaining high security standards. Matthew Cimaglia's earlier work experience includes founding Cimaglia Productions, a full-service creative agency, where they expanded the business from Orlando to Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles, working with multinational clients such as Mercedes-Benz, Citadel Securities, Allstate Insurance, and Edelman.

Matthew Cimaglia attended the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2020, where they studied Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy. The following year, in 2019, they enrolled at the Harvard Extension School, graduating with a degree in Creative Thinking: Innovative Solutions to Complex Challenges.
