Dean Newton

Dean Newton is a General Partner at Relevance Ventures, a Native-owned venture firm dedicated to fostering social, environmental, and individual wellness through strategic investments. With a legal and operational background, Dean serves on several boards including Native American Capital and Investment Alliance, thirteen lune, Alleyoop, and the Global Health and Wellness Investor Network, among others. As the Chief Legal Officer at Transact Campus Inc., a fintech provider for higher education, Dean oversees compliance and regulatory matters. Previous experience includes significant roles at Blackboard Inc. and co-founding Emotive Communications, alongside a strong academic foundation with a JD from Harvard Law School and an A.B. from Harvard University.
