Venkatraghavan S has a strong background in the chemical industry with extensive experience in sales, marketing, and business development. Venkatraghavan started their career at SRF Limited as an Officer R & D. Venkatraghavan then joined Castrol as a Senior Sales Executive, where they successfully launched and grew sales of specialty Mould Release agents. Venkatraghavan then moved on to The Sanmar Group, where they held various roles, including Marketing Head for the Commodity Chlorochemicals Business and Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Speciality Chemicals. In their current role, they are responsible for business development, technical services, and supply chain activities for Cabot Sanmar Limited and Sanmar Speciality Chemicals. In 2010, they joined Sanmar Chemicals Corporation as EVP of Marketing. Venkatraghavan currently holds the position of Executive Vice President in the Food Ingredients Business at Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd. Throughout their career, Venkatraghavan has operated in an ERP environment, specifically SAP, and has excelled in highly competitive environments.

Venkatraghavan S began their education at Kendriya Vidyalaya in 1971 and completed their studies there in 1980. Venkatraghavan then attended Vanavani Matriculation, IIT in Chennai from 1980 to 1982, where they earned their Higher Secondary School degree. In 1985, Venkatraghavan enrolled at I.I.T, Madras and obtained an M.Sc in Chemistry in 1987. Venkatraghavan further pursued their education at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi from 1987 to 1989, where they achieved an M.Tech specializing in Polymer. Lastly, Venkatraghavan attended the Open University Business School in London from 2001 to 2004, earning an M.B.A with a focus on Tech Polymer Science & Technology.
