Spencer Christensen

Spencer Christensen has a diverse work experience. Spencer started their career as a Customer Support Specialist at Thismoment, where they responded to and resolved customer inquiries and issues. Spencer then moved on to become a Customer Support Manager, managing a team of four support agents on an email-based support desk and achieving a Team Customer Satisfaction Score of 96.52%.

After that, Spencer transitioned to a Software Engineer role at Thismoment, where they worked on full stack engineering on a LAMP stack. Spencer became the primary subject matter expert on the legacy "built in-house" PHP framework and built a client-side single page app for Quicken Loans.

Spencer then progressed to the role of Sr. Software Engineer at Thismoment, where they were part of the core team that migrated Thismoment's Content Cloud to a multi-tenant enterprise SaaS solution. Spencer also architected and engineered the migration of two complex legacy solutions to the multi-tenant environment.

In 2016, Spencer took on the position of Engineering Manager at Thismoment. Spencer tracked the progress of all projects, ensured they met requirements and coding standards, and were delivered on time. Spencer provided accurate estimations, identified areas of concern, and refined the project workflow based on experience and industry wisdom.

Most recently, Spencer served as the Director of Engineering at Thismoment. In this role, they reduced the monthly AWS bill by 75% through a full audit and adjustment of all infrastructure. Spencer also utilized new AWS offerings and made improvements to optimize efficiency.

Prior to working at Thismoment, Spencer held the position of Seafood Department Manager at Safeway. Spencer'sresponsibilities included overseeing product ordering, conducting inventories, and managing employee schedules.

Spencer Christensen attended Dominican University of California from 2008 to 2012, where they received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion/Religious Studies and Music.
