Desiree Dickerson

Desiree Dickerson is the current CEO and Co-Founder at THNDR Games. Desiree has over eight years of experience in management consulting and operations. Desiree has a proven track record in developing and executing growth strategies, business transformation, and organizational improvements.

Prior to THNDR Games, Desiree was the VP of Business Operations at Lightning Labs from June 2018 to July 2021. In this role, they were responsible for the company's day-to-day operations and strategic planning. Desiree also oversaw the development and implementation of Lightning Labs' growth strategy.

From January 2017 to December 2018, Desiree served as the Blockchain and Digital Currency Fellow at Women for Women International. In this role, they evaluated past digital money efforts by the organization and developed a roadmap for implementing blockchain-based, cross-boarder money transfers to empower women in post-conflict areas through financial services. Desiree also led the project plan for developing physical Technology Hubs in Rwanda to bring WfWI program offerings and financial inclusion to women without mobile or other connected devices, while also creating a community for learning to use previously inaccessible financial technologies.

Prior to Women for Women International, Desiree worked as a Senior Manager at Atlas Research from November 2016 to June 2018. In this role, they were responsible for leading technology projects in the Federal health market. Desiree also provided analysis and technical support to clients on a variety of topics, including clinical decision support, health information exchange, and EHR implementations.

From February 2016 to January 2017, Desiree served as a Technology Consultant at Strategic Cyber Ventures. In this role, they provided guidance to startups on technology commercialization, go-to-market strategies, business development, and product development.

Desiree began their career as a Management Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton from September 2013 to November 2016. In this role, they provided analysis and recommendations to clients on a variety of topics, including process improvement, organizational design, change management, and business strategy.

Desiree Dickerson completed their Bachelor of Arts at the University of Chicago, where they majored in Biology with a specialization in Endocrinology and minored in Visual Art. Desiree then went on to complete their Master of Science in Biophysics and Physiology at Georgetown University. In addition, they have received certification from ASQ in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and from Splunk in Splunk Power User.
