Megan R. Brett

Megan R. Brett has a diverse range of work experience in the field of history and digital initiatives. Megan R. currently holds the position of Collections Processing and Digital Initiatives Manager at the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, which they started in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media from 2014 to 2022 as a Digital History Associate. In this role, they managed grant-funded projects and conducted audience research and user experience testing. Megan R. also worked as an Associate Web Editor at the Southern Association for Women Historians from 2012 to 2017. Additionally, Megan held the position of Assistant Editor, Papers of the War Department at George Mason University from 2011 to 2013. Megan R. also worked as a Research Database and Records Manager at The Montpelier Foundation from 2008 to 2011 and as a Curatorial Transcription Intern at the National Museums of Scotland in 2006.

Megan R. Brett has obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in History from George Mason University. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Vassar College. Additionally, they have pursued a Master of Science degree in Scottish Studies at The University of Edinburgh.
