Ed Lovern

Ed Lovern has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Ed recently worked as the Senior Vice President of Operations at Jefferson Health starting in May 2023. Prior to that, they served as the President & CEO of Ascension Saint Agnes from July 2020 to May 2023. Ed has also held positions at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, where they worked as the Chief Operating Officer from July 2013 to August 2020, and as the Executive Vice President from July 2002 to July 2013. Earlier in their career, Ed worked as a Bureau Chief/Reporter at Modern Healthcare from September 2000 to July 2002.

Ed Lovern earned a Master of Health Administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University from 1989 to 1992. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business/Economics at Randolph-Macon College from 1981 to 1985. Ed has also obtained the certification of Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) from the American College of Healthcare Executives in December 2022.
