Shiny B. George Ms

Shiny B. George MS, RHIA has a diverse work experience in health information management. They began their career in 1994 as an Inpatient and Outpatient Coder at Cooper University Hospital. In 1996, they joined the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as a Professional Fee Abstractor and eventually became the Coding Quality Manager and then Associate Director of Professional Fee Abstraction. In 2008, they became the Director of Health Information Management at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center within the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Later, in 2011, they became the Director of HIM Informatics at the University of Pennsylvania Health System before transitioning to their role as Vice President of Revenue Cycle at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in 2015. Throughout their career, they have provided leadership, direction and oversight for various health information management responsibilities, such as coding, clinical documentation improvement, and electronic health record systems. Shiny B. George completed a Master of Science degree in Health Informatics from Temple University in the years 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management from Temple University in the years 1990 to 1994.
