William Morrison, MD FACR, is a seasoned expert in musculoskeletal imaging and intervention with over 20 years in academic medicine. Currently serving as the Director of the Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals since July 1999, William collaborates closely with orthopedic surgeons at the Rothman Institute. As Medical Director at Trace Orthopedics, William focuses on innovative treatments for tendon tears using a percutaneous device. Additionally, William co-invented the Morrison Steerable Needle, which was successfully brought to market with AprioMed. Previous roles include consulting positions with Zimmer Biomet, Samsung Electronics, and GE Healthcare, alongside leadership as President of the Society of Skeletal Radiology. William's military experience includes serving as Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology in the U.S. Air Force.
