Casey Durso is a Ph.D. candidate at Thomas Jefferson University since August 2022, focusing on advanced research in the field of bioengineering. Previously, Casey served as a research specialist at the University of Pennsylvania from July 2020 to August 2022, contributing to the Luk Lab's investigations into synucleinopathies, including Parkinson's disease and related disorders. Prior experience includes work at Lehigh University, where as a Technical Entrepreneurship participant, Casey designed experiments for anti-HIV membrane applications and presented findings to faculty and investors, as well as assisting in the development of diagnostic test strips for sickle cell anemia as a research assistant.
