William (Bill) Burdick, MD, MSEd, currently serves as Secretary General of The Network: Towards Unity for Health and has been a Professor of Emergency Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University since October 2021. Previously, Burdick held the position of Vice Secretary-General at The Network Towards Unity for Health and spent nearly four decades at Drexel University College of Medicine as a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine. Burdick also contributed significantly to the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) as Vice President for Education and served as Assistant Vice President for Assessment Services at the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), where Burdick played a key role in developing a clinical skills assessment for foreign medical graduates. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from Cornell University, a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Oberlin College.
