Andreas Sotiropoulos, PhD, has a diverse work experience that spans across different industries. Andreas started their career as a Graduate Teaching/Marker in Psychology and Human Behaviour at the University of Essex, Department of Psychology, where they also worked as a Graduate Teaching/Demonstrator in Research Methods and Statistics. During this time, they conducted research on developmental dyslexia as a PhD researcher.

In 2016, Sotiropoulos joined Trayned Insight as a Data Scientist, eventually becoming the Director/Data Scientist. Here, they supported government, the NHS, and health practitioners by utilizing Big Data to extract meaningful statistics and insights to aid decision-making processes in the health sector. Andreas also identified areas of good/poor practice within the NHS and suggested potential improvements and cost-saving opportunities based on patient characteristics.

Sotiropoulos further expanded their expertise by joining Thomas Murray in 2018. Initially, they served as a Data Scientist and later advanced to the role of Senior Data Scientist. In this position, they strengthened the company's business operations and products by developing various data science capabilities. Andreas provided support and consultancy on analytics-related processes and implemented unsupervised ML models using global capital market infrastructure data, as well as post-trade risk assessments for banks, funds, and capital markets.

Throughout their career, Sotiropoulos has demonstrated a strong aptitude for data analysis and utilization in different domains, contributing valuable insights and solutions to enhance decision-making processes and operational efficiency.

Andreas Sotiropoulos, PhD, has an extensive education history in the field of psychology and neuropsychology. Andreas obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Psychology from the University of Sunderland from 2004 to 2007. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Health Psychology at the University of Central Lancashire, which they completed between 2007 and 2008.

With a growing interest in cognitive neuropsychology and neuroscience, Andreas furthered their education at the University of Essex. Andreas first obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Cognitive Neuropsychology/Neuroscience in 2008-2009. Subsequently, from 2009 to 2014, they pursued their passion for research and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Applied Cognitive Psychology/Neuropsychology from the same institution.
