Michael Laverty

Michael (Mike) Laverty serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Thompson Community Services Inc since November 2021, bringing extensive experience in human resources and labour relations. Prior positions include Consultant at Community Social Services Employers' Association of BC, Assistant Director of Labour Relations and Director of Human Resources at the City of Abbotsford, and HR Consultant for Provincial Health Services Authority. Michael has also held managerial roles at Cascade Aerospace Inc. and BC Hydro, as well as a managerial position at Pacific Blue Cross/BC Life and Senior Labour Relations Advisor roles at Insurance Corporation of British Columbia. Michael's educational background includes a BA in Criminology from Simon Fraser University and a Lean Green Belt certification from Lean Sensei International.
