Ryan Holem is currently a medical student at the University of Missouri Columbia School of Medicine. He attended college at Central Methodist University where he graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Biology. Prior to being accepted into medical school, he primarily worked as an emergency department scribe in Moberly, MO. In 2015, Ryan was diagnosed at the Thompson Center with autism after long suspecting that he was on the spectrum. As a self-advocate, Ryan hopes to provide a voice and perspective of someone with ASD to the Foundation Board so that it can better serve and represent the Thompson Center’s community. When not studying medicine, Ryan enjoys playing video games, working with computers, and hanging out with his family and 3 dogs.
