Rick Clifton is the Managing Director at Thompson Street Capital Partners. Prior to this, they were with CBRE from January 2018 to December 2018 as the Senior Regional Human Resources Business Partner - Accounting, Ops, Engineering, Project Management. There, they led a cross functional project team to ensure compliance with AAP Audit. From January 2018 to December 2021, Rick was with Entergy as the Senior Manager, HR - Business Partners. There, they were responsible for partnering with the Office of the COO and the Operations Senior Leadership Team which included 4000 associates spread across a 6-state region. Rick created a Human Capital Strategic Plan in collaboration with Senior Leadership that focused on the 4 key stakeholders: Customers, Employees, Stakeholders, and Communities. Rick spearheaded Talent Management efforts to include succession planning and performance management. Additionally, they facilitated an Organizational Design workshop focused on redesigning team structure to support the 5-year strategic plan. Rick also implemented Pay for Performance incentive program for craft employees. When Entergy went through a divestiture, Rick developed and executed a ramp down and redeployment plan to transition workforce impacted by the divestiture. Lastly, they developed and executed the HR workstream strategic plan to successfully complete the human capital transition of an acquisition. Rick supervised departmental staff consisting of three (3) Human Resource professionals.

Rick Clifton has a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from Arkansas State University. Rick is certified by the Human Capital Institute (HCI) as a Strategic HR Business Partner, McKesson as a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification, HR Policy Association as an LRP (Labor Relations Professional), Gallup as a Gallup Strengths Coach Level I, and Owens Corning as a Peoplesoft Operator Certification.
