Sharon Leong has extensive work experience in the travel industry. Sharon started their career at Jade Tours as a Junior Travel Consultant in 1991 and worked there until 1996. Sharon then joined Cathay Pacific Airways, where they served in various roles such as Travel Service Officer, Sales Executive for Groups and Incentives, and Executive Sales for Corporate and Leisure. During their time at Cathay Pacific Airways, they achieved an award for implementing the highest number of corporate contracts. In 2009, Sharon joined Thompsons Travel as Manager of New Business, where they focused on acquiring potential corporate clients and supporting the client base. In 2014, they were promoted to National Sales Manager, responsible for managing a team and achieving sales targets. In 2018, Sharon was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Thompsons Travel.
Sharon Leong completed various certifications in selling and negotiation skills as well as travel consultative skills from 1996 to 2010 at Cathay Pacific Airways in Hong Kong. During this time, they studied Tourism and Travel Services Management. In 2000 and 2001, they attended Rapid Results College to obtain their degree in Travel & Tourism, specializing in Tourism and Travel Services Management. Before their college education, they completed their High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates at Liverpool Secondary in an unspecified start year, but ending in 1992.
