Kristal Au-Yong has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Kristal is currently the Head of Customer Experience at Thomson Reuters, where they are responsible for setting the customer experience strategy and creating a customer-centric organization. From 2007 to 2021, Kristal worked at Scotiabank in multiple roles of increasing responsibility. Kristal was the SVP of Analytics & Innovation, leading a team of data scientists and analysts to drive business growth and enhance customer experiences through AI/ML and data-driven insights. Kristal also served as the SVP and Global Head of FinTech Partnerships, Vice President of Risk Technology & Strategy, Vice President of Retail Credit Risk Policies & Oversight, Director of Governance & Oversight in International Retail Risk Management, Director of Loan Adjudication Centres, Director of Credit Solutions, and Senior Manager of Strategic & Financial Planning and Capital Management.

Prior to joining Scotiabank, Kristal worked as a Managing Consultant at IBM Global Services and held roles at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions of Canada as a Senior Supervisor and Management Trainee.

Kristal Au-Yong earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Waterloo from 1998 to 2002.
