Yu Bai

Yu(Sherry) Bai is an experienced optics design engineer currently employed at Thorlabs since February 2018. Prior to this role, Yu(Sherry) held the position of product development engineer at Fuyao Group from September 2016 to February 2018, focusing on analyzing customer requirements and preparing technical specifications using AutoCAD, CATIA, and NX. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Electro-optics from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor's Degree in Light Information Science & Technology from Beijing Institute of Technology. Notable projects include upgrading an adaptive optics system for eye aberration measurement and designing an optical fiber cone inspired by insect compound eyes. Additional experience includes knowledge acquisition in photo-acoustic imaging at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
