Mauricio Jamaica Tellechea

Mauricio Jamaica Tellechea has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Mauricio is currently working as a Supply Chain Manager / Operations Manager at Thornhill Medical since December 2021. Before that, Mauricio worked as a General Manager at PO Empaques Flexibles S.A. de C.V. for a few months in 2019, where they focused on company growth and development in areas such as operations, finance, sales, and HR.

From 2016 to 2019, Mauricio held multiple roles at La Europea, including Director of Operations and Store Operations Director. In these positions, they were responsible for shaping and leading the operations of the retail chain, including supply chain management, logistics, production, P&L, customer service, and sales.

Prior to that, Mauricio worked as an entrepreneur from 2015 to 2016, franchising a healthcare company and starting a business to improve employee well-being and productivity for other companies.

Earlier in their career, Mauricio had various roles at GE. From 2014 to 2015, they served as the National Operations Manager, overseeing the operations, supply chain, logistics, and customer service for Oil Christmas tree re-manufacturing and field services. From 2011 to 2014, they were the Divisional Operations Manager, managing a locomotive service facility and satellite locations across Mexico. Mauricio also served as the Divisional Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma Manager and Senior Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma Manager at GE, where they implemented Lean & Six Sigma strategies, supported regional teams, and achieved significant cost savings and operational improvements.

Before joining GE, Mauricio worked at Flex as the Junior Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma Manager, where they led the deployment of Lean strategies and achieved substantial improvements in supply chain, production, quality, productivity, and EHS. Mauricio also conducted a master's thesis in lean manufacturing at Kablageproduktion AB.

Mauricio's earlier experience includes working as a Product Coordinator at Bticino de México, where they led an international project and handled marketing, sales, and projects related to a new product line in the Mexican market. Overall, Mauricio brings a wealth of experience in operations management, supply chain, logistics, lean manufacturing, and business development.

Mauricio Jamaica Tellechea's education history includes earning an M.S. degree in Production and Logistics Management - Lean Manufacturing from Mälardalen University in Sweden, from 2005 to 2006. Mauricio also obtained a B.S. degree in Electronic Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico and the USA, from 1996 to 2001. In 2020, Mauricio pursued a Diploma of Education in International Business Management from Greystone College in Canada.

Furthermore, they completed a Diploma in digital transformation from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2020, a Diploma in Top Management in 2019, and a Diploma in Advanced Finance in 2013, both from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Mauricio also participated in a Plant Manager program at GE Crotonville in 2012 and a New Manager Development program at GE Crotonville in 2011.

Mauricio has acquired additional certifications during their career, including a Black Belt certification from Flextronics in 2008 and a Green Belt certification from Flextronics in 2006. Mauricio also earned a Diploma in Computer Networks from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 1999 and participated in an exchange program at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in 1999.
