Dawn Walker has extensive experience in educational leadership and counseling, currently serving as Assistant Principal at Thornton Fractional Center and Interim Principal at Thornton Fractional Center for Alternative Learning since October 2018. With a background that includes the role of School Counselor since 2002 within Thornton Fractional High School District 215, Dawn has a strong commitment to student development and academic support. Thornton Fractional Township High School District 215 is located in south suburban Cook County and serves 3,500+ students from Burnham, Calumet City, Lansing, and Lynwood, which collectively have more than 80,000 residents. The district serves students in grades 9 through 12 and is comprised of two public comprehensive high schools - Thornton Fractional North (TF North) and Thornton Fractional South (TF South) – as well as Thornton Fractional Center for Academics & Technology (TF Center) and Thornton Fractional Center for Alternative Learning (TF CAL).
