Mark Fortunato has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mark currently works at Thoro.ai as a Field Operations Engineer, where they serve as a part-time test engineer conducting daily software tests and a part-time deployment engineer responsible for training end-users on autonomous mobile robots. Prior to this, Mark worked at Carnegie Robotics for four years, initially as a Test Engineer and later as a Production Technician. As a Production Technician, they focused on process control and lean manufacturing of stereo cameras, leading the development of the next-generation camera. Before that, Mark worked at CTI Water Treatment Solutions as a Service Technician, testing open/closed loop systems and improving water efficiency. Their earliest role was at ATOS - Aqua Transfer & Oilfield Solutions, where they served as a Field Operations Supervisor, overseeing maintenance operations and managing field invoices and crew scheduling.

Mark Fortunato attended Bethel Park High School from 2007 to 2011, where they received their high school diploma. In 2017, they enrolled at Pittsburgh Technical College and obtained an Associate's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, completing their studies in 2019.
