Chris Watson

Chris Watson is the current Director at Thoroughbred Breeders Australia. Prior to this, Chris was the Editor at The Sydney Morning Herald from October 2012 to September 2014. In this role, Chris managed a large and diverse team of reporters, designers, artists and production staff in a highly pressured and deadline driven environment. Chris was also a leader on projects that transformed and streamlined the newsroom’s operations. During their time at The Sydney Morning Herald, Chris built strong collaborative relationships with the Herald’s marketing, customer relations and social media teams to develop brand strategy, engagement and commercial opportunities. This role required a strong understanding and implementation of regulatory and legal requirements and checks.

Chris Watson pursued a Bachelor's degree in International Relations at the University of Leeds.
