Tom Reilly

Tom Reilly is the current CEO of Thoroughbred Breeders Australia. Tom was previously the editor of The Sydney Morning Herald from October 2012 to September 2014.

As editor of The Sydney Morning Herald, Tom oversaw all content that appeared daily as well as the production process. Tom was responsible for managing a large and diverse team of reporters, designers, artists and production staff in a highly pressured and deadline driven environment.

Tom was a leader on projects that transformed and streamlined the newsroom’s operations. Tom built strong collaborative relationships with the Herald’s marketing, customer relations and social media teams to develop brand strategy, engagement and commercial opportunities.

This role required a strong understanding and implementation of regulatory and legal requirements and checks.

Tom Reilly is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Leeds.
