Mike O'Brien

Mike O'Brien is a public sector growth strategist currently leading the State and Local Government business at Thoughtworks, focusing on digital modernization and responsible AI adoption. They founded OB Consulting in early 2024 after a successful transaction at SMX, where they served as Vice President of the Digital Solutions Group. Mike also held executive roles at Bamboo Solutions, Clearpath Solutions Group, and Aquilent, where they were instrumental in driving cloud services and operational excellence. An advisory board member at the University of Virginia from 2007 to 2017, Mike contributed to the strategic development of the MS-MIT graduate program. They hold an MS in Management of Information Technology from the University of Virginia and are pursuing a BS in Business Administration at Saint Leo University.
