Barrett Sather

Barrett Sather has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Starting in 2005, they worked as a Shop Assistant at Pellmans Automotive. Barrett then joined Lockheed Martin in 2008 as a Research Assistant/Lead Developer, working remotely to develop tools for manipulating satellite data. In 2012, they joined Exelis Visual Information Solutions as an Associate Software Engineer, focusing on improving software packages for satellite imagery. Barrett also worked as a Technical Solutions Engineer/Instructor, providing software training and sales support. In 2014, they moved to Harris Corporation, where they worked as a Programming Consultant, developing custom content and applications. Barrett later became a Project Manager, overseeing consulting services projects from start to finish. Most recently, in 2019, Barrett joined Thread as the Director of Product Development, managing the development of autonomous robotic systems for inspection data capture in the energy sector. In this role, they integrated various technologies such as flight simulation, machine learning, cloud technologies, and user interfaces.

Barrett Sather attended Boulder High School from 2004 to 2007. Following high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Astrophysics at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2007 to 2012.
