Eric Svetcov has held a variety of roles in the technology and security industries. In 2008, they were a Senior Manager at KPMG New Zealand. From 2010 to 2011, they were the Asia-Pacific Incident Response and Computer Forensics Leader at Datacraft. From 2011 to 2019, they were Chief Security Officer, Chief Privacy Officer, Caldicott Guardian and Head of IT at MedeAnalytics Inc. During this time, they built the Information Security function into a key differentiator and competitive advantage for MedeAnalytics, and achieved HITRUST and ISO 27001 (2013) Certification. In 2019, they became the CISO Advisor at both Acclivity Health Solutions, Inc and DeepThink Health. Eric also became the Principal at Trust in Motion LLC and the C|CISO Certification Author and EC-Council Instructor at EC-Council. In 2021, they began advising and mentoring for the Santa Clara University Women's Corporate Board Readiness Program, and in 2022 they became the CTO & CISO at Threatrix.
Eric Svetcov attended the United States Air Force Academy from 1985 to 1989. Eric then obtained a BA in Political Science from the University of Northern Colorado in 1990. In 2002, Eric completed their MBA in Management from Golden Gate University. Eric has also obtained several certifications including Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO) from EC-Council in 2013, SABSA Chartered Security Architect - SCF from The SABSA Institute in 2010, Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) from ISACA in 2010, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2009, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 2005, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2005, and Certified EC-Council Instructor from EC-Council.
