Project Manager Expert at Threon

Jean-Claude Van Overmeire has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Starting in 1996, they worked as a Technical Architect for Siemens on the NATO ACCS project, where they designed the ICT infrastructure. Jean-Claude then moved on to Leading Technology Consulting in 1997, where they served as a Project Manager for Belgolaise, leading the implementation of a package to manage subsidiary banks. From 1997 to 1999, they worked at Bureau Joassart & Goffin as a Manufacturing Expert for Banksys.

In 1999, Jean-Claude joined HBK bank as the IT Director ad interim, managing a team of 60 IT experts and coordinating ongoing projects. At Siemens, from December 1999 to September 2001, they were a Project Manager for the Ministry of the Flemish Community, overseeing the implementation of the Oracle Finance accounting package.

In 2004, Jean-Claude took on multiple roles at Deloitte, serving as a Public Accounting Expert. Jean-Claude provided their expertise in public accounting processes to develop a request for proposal for the replacement of financial systems for the Ministry of Wallonia and the Ministry of the French-speaking community. Jean-Claude also served as a member of the training team to deploy the ABAC project for the European Commission.

Jean-Claude also had a role at PMI Belgium from 2004 to 2007 as the Financial Director. Jean-Claude then joined Bureau Joassart & Goffin in 2005 and became the Program Manager for CHTNJL, coordinating all ICT projects for the Centre Hospitalier Tubize Nivelles Jolimont Lobbes.

Since 2006, Jean-Claude has been with Threon, where they hold the position of Project Manager Expert. At Threon, they provide project management expertise by offering Project Management Courses based on the PMI methodology. Jean-Claude also provides coaching and advice to companies and organizations to enhance their project management performance. Currently, they are providing advice to Fedict in setting up a project management office.

In 2019, Jean-Claude retired from their role at the home office.

Jean-Claude Van Overmeire pursued their education at Université catholique de Louvain from 1965 to 1970. During this time, they obtained a degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's in Applied Economics, specializing in the field of Construction.
