Léonie Maes

Léonie Maes has a diverse work experience in various organizations. In 2018, they worked at threon - strategy delivered as an Expert Strategy and Transformation Sales Manager, where they provided end-to-end solutions for organizations to ensure the delivery of their strategies. From 2016 to 2018, Léonie worked as a Project Manager at the Institute for European Studies, VUB. Prior to that, they were a Project Manager at the United Nations University - CRIS from 2011 to 2016. In 2014, they had a traineeship at the Council of the European Union, where they focused on humanitarian aid and civil protection.

Léonie Maes has a diverse and extensive education history. In 2017 and 2018, they attended the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, where they completed an Accelerated Management Programme. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2011, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Public Policy and Human Development, specializing in Social Policy Design, at Maastricht University. Before their master's degree, from 2007 to 2010, Léonie obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Sciences from the Université de Namur.

In addition to their formal education, Léonie has also obtained various certifications. In April 2021, they became a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist through Scaled Agile, Inc. Other certifications include Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner from Prosci, Provocative Selling from LISS - Sales Efficiency, Portfolio Management and Program and Benefits Management from Threon, Project Management Professional (PMP)® from the Project Management Institute, Power BI and MS Project from Threon - Value through projects, and Advanced PMO and Maturity Models from Threon. Léonie also received a certification in Financial Management of EU Funded Projects and External Auditing from the European Academy for Education and Social Research in May 2017.
