Robert Huelin

Robert Huelin has a diverse and extensive work experience. Their most recent position is as the Chief Legal Officer for Threshold Brands, a PE-backed company that acquires and operates franchise brands. Robert handles all legal matters for the company, including litigation, corporate governance, contract drafting and negotiation, franchise regulations and disclosures, and data security/privacy.

Before joining Threshold Brands, Robert worked as the Associate General Counsel for Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Round Room LLC from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Legal and Compliance at Wireless Zone LLC from 2016 to 2021, where they were responsible for maintaining compliance with franchise laws, negotiating franchise agreements, managing litigation, and developing compliance programs.

From 2015 to 2016, Robert held the role of Vice President of Legal and Compliance; Secretary at Automotive Technologies, Inc. (Wireless Zone LLC), where they served as the chief legal officer and corporate secretary for the wireless retailer and franchisor of the Wireless Zone brand. Robert was responsible for various legal matters, including franchise compliance, contract negotiations, litigation management, trademark registration, and compliance program development.

Prior to that, Robert worked as an Assistant Counsel at Pratt & Whitney from 2013 to 2014, where they advised on transactions with airline customers in Europe and the Middle East. Robert negotiated engine sale contracts, parts agreements, and maintenance service agreements.

Robert also has experience as an Assistant Counsel - Commercial at Otis Elevator Company from 2008 to 2013, where they provided general legal support for Otis' North American and Canadian operations. Their responsibilities included contract negotiation, environmental compliance, OSHA matters, employment issues, litigation management, and compliance training.

Before transitioning into the corporate sector, Robert worked as an Associate at Wiggin and Dana LLP from 2005 to 2008, and as a Law Clerk to the Hon. Dominic J. Squatrito at the United States District Court - District of Connecticut from 2003 to 2005.

Robert Huelin attended Yale University from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued higher education at Columbia Law School from 2000 to 2003, earning a Juris Doctor (JD) degree with a focus on Law.
