Dawn Allen has extensive experience in the behavioral health field. Dawn currently holds the role of Certified Community Behavioral Health Project Director at Thrive Behavioral Health since 2019. And as the Program Coordinator of Fellowship Community Reintegration Services from 2004 to 2007, they managed a program in a correctional institution, conducting assessments, creating case plans, and preparing inmates for parole and release.

Dawn's career began at the RI Department of Corrections, where they worked with RI Probation & Parole from 2002 to 2004, assisting Probation Officers during court proceedings and handling case assignments and probation violators.
