Carlo van de Weijer is a seasoned professional in the field of artificial intelligence and mobility. Currently serving as the General Manager of the Eindhoven AI Systems Institute and Director of Smart Mobility at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven since March 2011, Carlo also holds the position of Fellow for Future of Mobility at Deloitte since June 2022. With extensive board experience, Carlo is a Member of the Supervisory Board at Vado Beheer B.V. and Kuijpers Installaties, along with advisory roles at Ponooc and Thrive Dynamic. In addition, Carlo is a Faculty Member and Fellow for AI at SingularityU The Netherlands and Singularity University, respectively, and writes a bi-weekly column on future mobility for Het Financieele Dagblad. Carlo possesses a PhD (cum laude) in Mechanics from Technische Universität Graz and an MSc in Mechanics from Eindhoven University of Technology.
