Alexis K.

Alexis K. is an experienced professional currently serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at Thrive New Orleans since November 2023. Previously, Alexis held the role of Director of Public Affairs and Policy at the Downtown Development District of New Orleans, where responsibilities included building stakeholder relationships and coordinating legislative priorities. Alexis also served as Senior Director of Project Management at the New Orleans Business Alliance, successfully leading a $5M Advancing Cities grant initiative. Other notable positions include Director of Compliance at the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office and Legislative Director to Councilmember Susan Guidry, where Alexis made significant contributions to criminal justice reform. Alexis began a legal career as an Assistant District Attorney and held law clerk positions for judges in various judicial circuits, complemented by earlier experience as an Executive Assistant in the entertainment industry. Education includes a Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Southern California.
