Dr. Wesley Phillips

Dr. Wesley Phillips has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Dr. Wesley currently serves as a Cybersecurity Project Manager at the Defense Information Systems Agency. Prior to this, Dr. Phillips worked as a Lead Instructor at ThriveDX and a Training Coordinator at Blacks in Cybersecurity. Dr. Wesley also held the position of Chief Executive Officer at HSOC Cyber, where they provided real-time cybersecurity training to interns. In addition, Dr. Phillips worked as a Cybersecurity Program Manager at the US Federal Government and as a Cyber Defense Operations Lead & Cybersecurity Engineer at the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency. Dr. Wesley has experience in managing cybersecurity programs and projects, implementing countermeasures, and conducting incident response activities. Dr. Phillips has also worked at Hill Associates Corporation, GCubed Inc., Xiartech Inc., and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where they held various cybersecurity roles and contributed to the development of cybersecurity curricula.

Dr. Wesley Phillips, CCISO CISM CRISC CDPSE GSLC CASP PENTEST, has a diverse educational background. Dr. Wesley earned a Doctorate degree in Management from Colorado Technical University between 2007 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science in Management with a focus on Information Systems Security from the same university from 2005 to 2006. Dr. Wesley holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Information Technology from Colorado Technical University, which they earned from 2004 to 2005. Dr. Phillips also has an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Metropolitan University, obtained between 2002 and 2004. Additionally, they have acquired multiple certifications from various institutions, such as EC-Council, CompTIA, AttackIQ, Lynda.com, LinkedIn, AXELOS Global Best Practice, AWS Elemental, Cybrary, Blockchain Council, and Splunk, spanning topics such as cybersecurity, risk management, and blockchain technology.
